The IT Support and Help Desk Technician must be able to install and maintain network peripherals, desktop hardware and software.  Supports IT manager and Samson staff by solving IT related issues and offering solutions for more efficient processes.

Essential Job Function and Responsibilities

  • Provide IT services with configuration, installation and ongoing usability of hardware and software tools including systems support as necessary to users. Guide and help diagnose the problems with recommended solutions.
  • Install and monitor network hardware and software and make necessary upgrades and repairs
  • Maintain Servers, backups, end users’ device connectivity to network including system and data security.
  • Solve problems when a user or an automated monitoring system informs that a problem exists
  • Serve as the first point of contact for on-site and remote employees seeking technical assistance with LAN/WAN, MS Exchange/Outlook and internet systems
  • Help to increase the response times to end users’ requests; repairing or replacing hardware or fixing software issues.
  • Coordinate and assist with daily general facilities maintenance tasks on an as needed basis
  • Any other tasks as assigned by manager


  • Proven experience as a help desk technician and IT support professional
  • Experience with hardware and software knowledge of office automation products such as Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Mobile devices and Databases including Servers in a Windows environment
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V tools and platforms
  • Basic understanding and experience in CISCO switches and firewall configurations and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English
  • Task oriented with ability to demonstrate patience and professionalism while working with end users
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and possess problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate ability to master new skills.

Education, Certification & Experience


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • All Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred but not Required – Must be able to provide substantiation:

  • A+ Certification
  • Crystal Reports or other BI reporting tools
  • Oracle, MS SQL
  • Associates Degree or Above in IT related Field
