Regional Sales Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure engagement with customer promoting SAMSON products, services and solutions
  • Demonstrate our value proposition to customers for the establishment of long term business relationships
  • Meet/exceed bookings forecast in assigned territory
  • Input all pertinent sales related information into Salesforce CRM module
  • Responsible for continued improvement in sales coverage and effectiveness
  • Develop key areas and markets providing analysis and action plans
  • Submit timely business reports and territory forecasts
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, and feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contracts to be made
  • Follow up new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events
  • Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales
  • Assists in the implementation of the company marketing plans as needed
  • Comply with SAMSON’s documented policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Handle customer complaints
  • Other duties as specified by management

Education/Credentials:

  • Four year degree preferred in instrumentation or mechanical engineering

Job Related Experience:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in the upstream, midstream or downstream industries

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the basic functions of the industries served
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, strong self-motivation and work ethic
  • A professional desire to achieve challenging goals and objectives
  • Ability to sell SAMSON products to MRO, Projects and Aftermarket customers
